Are the italicized slots able to be reserved, or have you just put them like that to denote leadership positions?

  10. Two shows that have recently taken a lot of my spare time away from me. If you're interested in World War Two, you should definitely give them a watch. Band of Brothers (HBO, 2001) I'm sure many of you have already seen this series, if not then you are missing out on one of the best portrayals of the European theater to date. Following hot on the heels of Saving Private Ryan, this 10-part miniseries chronicles the campaign of the United States 101st Airborne, and more specifically the division's Easy Company as they pass jump school, participate in "Operation Neptune" on D-Day, and fight their way through Nazi occupied France, Holland, and Belgium. The series uses some great practical FX that make the almost 17 year old clips look cinema new, and the cast hides some pretty interesting cameos like Simon Pegg (Sean of the Dead, Hot Fuzz), Micheal Fassbender (X-Men: First Class, Steve Jobs) and late-night talkshow host Jimmy Fallon. Unsere Mütter Unsere Väter/Generation War (TeamWorx, 2013) A bit of a niche show, Generation War (not to be confused with Generation Kill, which is -also- a very good series) is a 4 part series that follows the life of five German friends as the Nazi party pushes its war effort into Russia. Unlike Band of Brothers, Generation War focuses on the lives of the group of five friends in separate story arcs as the war tears them apart and changes them. Surprisingly I found the stories that revolve around the non-combatants among the group (A singer, a Jewish tailor and a Nurse) to be more interesting than the combat scenes. That's not to say the scenes are dull, however. A lower budget meant less pyrotechnics, but the larger scale battles still gets the heart racing. Both shows can be found for free on the Pirate Bay. Normally I wouldn't advocate piracy for shows I like but HBO service sucks here in Australia and I'm pretty sure Generation War isn't aired anywhere.

And now for something completely different: A Finnish soldier using a pack Reindeer during the Winter War.
