There's a bit of a lack of missions going up at the moment, and until the new head of mission making can get some momentum going, this Sunday I'll run a tac in the Trump Card mission, Mod light (CBA, ACE, ACRE2) This is to test this mission out for our upcoming regular Wednesday Night public sessions. Scenario Brief - click here Warning Order: Situation: ANZTAC platoon has arrived as part of coalition forces deployed to remove CSAT and coalition forces from Tanoa. The enemy are known to be preparing forces to respond to our arrival in the AO, in addition to continuing patrols across the island. The enemy Assembly area is currently unknown. Probable Mission: Once the location of enemy assembly area is established, ANTAC Pl is to be prepared to deploy and destroy the initial forces there, before an overwhelming force concentration can be built up. Be prepared for additional taskings as required. Timings: Form up on the deck of the USS FREEDOM at 1930 AEST No move before 1945 AEST Orders: 1920 AEST CSS: In addition to regular section weapons, all sections are to carry: 1 x Titan MPRL AA launcher 1 x MAAWS MODS (optional): CBA_A3 ACE ACEX ACRE TAOFoldingMaps STHUD ADVANCE MOVEMENTS

Hey there, I took some minutes from the last meeting, but I was under the impression that Dash/Skye had been asked to provide an agenda. Items for AGM will include: Structural change: Removing ranks and reforming into 'Leadership', 'Staff' and 'Enlisted' groups. Details provided at meeting. Nominations/voting/approval of positions by community. Re-evaluation of positions every 4 month period. General feedback and community contributions to restructure. News about upcoming community events i.e. Wednesday nights. Hopefully heads of groups will be able to attend and provide reports on their individual portfolios as well. If anyone wishes to nominate for any of the staff or leadership groups. here is a list of the current groups. These may be removed or changed in the upcoming restructure, but their portfolios will likely persist and require folks - these will be in the Staff group. '***' denotes a group with no staff. You're welcome to nominate or send us details of what you're interested in at/by the AGM. Disciplinary/Attendance Public Relations Recruiting *** Mods Group Mission Makers Training *** Current members that have been nominated for Leadership group (around 5 positions potentially available): Skye, Snoman, Beny, ridgeheart, Azer, Mikoi

Bought a new PC the other day, just waiting for it to arrive. Will hopefully have it by the end of the week and the first thing I'll be doing is downloading ArmA and mods :) I'm looking forward to getting back in to mission making, although it might take a while before I get the hang of it again (it's been a little more than a year). See you all soon...

2.5 Frequencies These are to be used on DCS 2.5 only Usage Frequency ATC/CTAF/Traffic (Player controlled | SRS) 251 MCCOM/GCI/Air-to-Air (Player controlled | SRS) 254 A2G Common / JTAC (Player controlled | SRS) 124 AI AWACS 266 Tankers (See briefing for TCN Channels) 267 ATC/CTAF/Traffic: Use this frequency for traffic calls and coordinating with ATC for airfield operation. Their airspace extends 15nm from your departure or arrival airfield and extends up to 10,000ft. Check-In: Callsign (+ Num. Wingmen), Location, Altitude Things you need to call ATC for: Taxi instructions. Initial departure vector and altitude Regular Traffic calls about position and movement Switch to another channel upon departing airspace MCCOM/GCI/A2A: This frequency is for coordinating mission operations, A2A GCI and flight following of transiting flights. Airspace is 10,000ft and up. It’s used for coordinating the mission amongst flights in the air, kind of the equivalent of you Center controller in civilian world. This is also the A2A GCI coordinating frequency which makes it quite busy therefor here is the list of communication that you are expected to perform on this frequency and no more: Check-In: Callsign, Location, Altitude Check-Out: Callsign, Location, Recovery Airbase/Request Check in and out for in-flight mission tasking after you are off ATC’s hands, for both A2A and A2G A2G flights will be provided flight following service and guidance towards their tasked AO / mission. Declare calls will be answered based on GCI availability. A2G calls are lower priority A2A flights will be provided GCI instructions as well as picture and bogey dope A2A flights and pilots need to call their shot on this frequency to avoid inter-flight mishaps “Gryphon 1-1, Fox 1”, “Gryphon 1-2, merging with Bandit at Bulls 25/134” Any mandatory information about what you are doing that needs to be communicated to avoid wasting ordinance / unnecessary focus of multiple elements onto the same Bandits A2G Common / JTAC: This is the channel used for coordinating A2G weapon delivery, mission execution and JTAC operations. This frequency is used only by A2G flights. Tune to this frequency when arriving in the AO and instructed by MCCOM or ATC and use it for the following items: All weapon employment calls. Rifle, Magnum, Pickle, Wire, etc.… JTAC coordination calls. IP Inbound, Visual Target Identification Laser firing and code synchronization between flights. Flight level and orbit assignments. ATC / MCCOM GCI / A2G JTAC always have the final say and you are expected to comply with any instructions received, regardless if they break the aforementioned guidelines above. (Credit 107th)

Today I have some sad news. It is with a heavy heart that I must announce that ANZTAC will be closing its doors come October. This decision was not taken lightly and has weighed heavily on my mind over the past few weeks and months. We started this community on the back of another failed community who wanted to get more out of a milsim experience, however as time progressed, a number of internal issues and disagreements has lead up to this point. We didn’t know it at the time, but it has become evident that our operational model is not sustainable. I am sad to see ANZTAC go, but I feel that at this stage, the good ship is no longer recoverable. However, with one door closing, new doors to a brighter future open up. We have partnered with Task Force Raider to conduct a merger between our communities. I implore all of you to head over to their discord over here: https://discord.gg/ErtsGe and look into their recruiting channel. When you do sign up, mention in the notes that you were a former ANZTAC member and your application will be fast tracked. Just a note though, they will still assess each members application individually and can still reject any application. With one chapter drawing to a close, another great chapter is just beginning. I hope to see you all over on the TFR discord and look forward to running tacs with a bigger, better community once more. Thanks guys, its been great :)
